Mohammad Rafi : A Versatile Singer

Mohammad Rafi was born on December 24, 1924 at village Kotla Sultan Singh near Amritsar (Pakistan). He was one of the greatest playback Singer ane Producer. He learned Classical Music from Ghulam Ali Khan. His first song was in Punjabi for Gul Baloch. He also sang for singer-actor Kishore Kumar. He was honored National Film Award, Best National Singer Award, 6 Filmfare Awards and Padma Shri by Government of India. He sang a variety of songs as Romantic, Sad, Patriotic, Qawwali, Ghazal, Bhajan Songs. He died due to a massive heart attack on July 31, 1980. In 2000, he was awarded the Best Singer of the Millenium Award.
